Marlon Mack not guaranteed clear-cut lead role for Colts

The Indianapolis Colts' running back touch leader could vary "game to game," the Indianapolis Star believes.

What It Means:

Per reporter Stephen Holder, it's "day to day" in camp as to who gets the most first-team reps. Head coach Frank Reich said, "Certain guys have a little better feel on gap scheme runs. Other runners, as you know, have a better feel for zone scheme runs and you just kind of gear guys towards what they’re best." That would be similar to the approach Reich's offenses have employed in the past, and we should expect nothing more than a full-tilt committee here.

Our models project Mack as the 29th-best fantasy option at running back this season, with 722 rushing yards and 4.0 touchdowns on 193 carries, adding 30 catches for 275 yards and 1.5 touchdowns.
