Mike Gesicki buried on Dolphins' initial depth chart
Miami Dolphins rookie tight end Mike Gesicki was listed fifth on the initial tight end depth chart.
This seems more like veteran deference to nominal starter MarQueis Gray, A.J. Derby, and Gavin Escobar, though Thomas Duarte is also currently listed ahead of the second-rounder Gesicki. Training camp depth charts should always be taken with a grain of salt, and this one is no exception. Gesicki's athleticism and receiving talent has reportedly dazzled, and he has begun to make progress as a blocker.
Our models project Gesicki as the 24th-best tight end for fantasy football this season, with 440 receiving yards and 2.9 touchdowns on 40 catches in 2018.
