Odell Beckham offered less than $16 million from Giants
New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham was offered less than $16 million per year during face-to-face contract negotiations last week, reports ESPN's Josina Anderson.
Anderson says the Giants "are currently valuing" Beckham at a number that would pay him less per year than Sammy Watkins, which doesn't seem like a reasonable appraisal for a 25-year-old that is one of the best wide receivers in the world. Beckham said on Saturday he's "confident" the two sides will work out a new deal for this season.
Beckham is neck and neck with DeAndre Hopkins for the WR3 spot in numberFire's preseason fantasy rankings. Our models currently project him to catch 99.0 passes (166.5 targets) for 1,351.1 yards and 9.16 touchdowns this season.
