Brandon Marshall

Seahawks 'very encouraged' by Brandon Marshall

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll and offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer both said they're "very encouraged" by new wide receiver Brandon Marshall.

What It Means:

Carroll praised Marshall's football intelligence and Schottenheimer expressed admiration for the veteran's willingness to work and communicate with Russell Wilson. His play has fallen off over the last two seasons but Marshall could carry some early value in 2018 if Doug Baldwin's knee injury lingers. The Seahawks signed the 34-year-old wideout at the end of May.

numberFire's models currently project Marshall for 502.6 receiving yards and 2.60 touchdowns on 40.6 catches (82.2 targets) in the 2018 season. This makes him the 74th wide receiver in our preseason fantasy rankings.
