Giants' Eli Manning not expected to play on Friday night
New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning is not expected to play in Friday's preseason game against the Detroit Lions.
Manning and Odell Beckham stayed on the field after warmups to put in some extra work, a reliable indicator the duo will not suit up on Friday. The Giants likely want to see extended run from Kyle Lauletta and Davis Webb as the two battle out for the job as Manning's backup this season.
Our models project Manning to finish as the 22nd-best QB in fantasy with 3,845.9 passing yards, 27.4 touchdowns, and 15.3 interceptions on 609.0 pass attempts in 2018.
