Only 'a chance' Josh Gordon is ready for Browns' season opener
There's "a chance" Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon will be ready for the team's season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 9, head coach Hue Jackson said.
Gordon missed the first few weeks of camp while tending to his "overall health," but reported on Saturday. Gordon trained on his own during his time off, though he still needs time to get into game shape. "His focus is going to be on meetings and conditioning and then we'll just kind of go from there," said Jackson. "Hopefully, we can get him up and running by the first game."
Based on a 16-game projection, numberFire's models currently project Gordon for 70 receptions (147 targets), 968 yards, and 7.7 touchdowns in 2018. He's among the top-20 receivers in our preseason fantasy rankings.
