Cowboys' Michael Gallup should have Week 1 role
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Gallup is expected to have an immediate role on offense, according to owner Jerry Jones.
"I think he's going to start off. Opening day, he'll be part of our plan," Jones said. Gallup has shown a strong connection with quarterback Dak Prescott, catching three passes for 46 yards and a touchdown through two preseason games. Cowboys beat reporter Clarence Hill Jr. suggested Friday that Gallup will even open the season as a starter.
Our models project Gallup for 508 receiving yards and 3.2 touchdowns on 39 catches this season, which would put him as the 72nd-best fantasy wide receiver ranking this year.
