Panthers' Curtis Samuel had procedure for irregular heartbeat, out for Week 1
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Curtis Samuel is recovering from a procedure to correct an irregular heartbeat and is expected to miss Week 1 versus the Dallas Cowboys.
Samuel has been sidelined with what the team was calling a "medical issue," and now we know the ailment. The second-year wideout is looking to bounce back from an injury-filled rookie season and could play a significant role in Carolina in an undermanned receiving corp.
Our models project Samuel for 325.0 receiving yards and 1.5 touchdowns on 31.0 catches this season.
