Eagles place Mack Hollins (groin) on injured reserve
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Mack Hollins (groin) has been placed on injured reserve.
Hollins is recovering from sports-hernia surgery. It's unfortunate timing, as the second-year pro was expected to see an expanded role during Alshon Jeffery's (shoulder) absence. He is currently eligible to return for the second half of the season. Markus Wheaton will likely open the year as the Eagles' third receiver behind Nelson Agholor and Mike Wallace.
Hollins fell outside the top-100 receivers in numberFire's preseason fantasy rankings before landing on IR.
