Greg Olsen (foot) hopes to play again for Panthers this season
Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen (broken foot) confirmed he hopes to play again this season.
Olsen consulted with team doctors and is optimistic about returning sometime in 2018, although the veteran may opt for surgery after the season. He will be 34 in March. The Panthers are expected to start fourth-rounder Ian Thomas at tight end in Week 2 against the Atlanta Falcons.
Olsen scored 4.3 FanDuel points in Week 1, with 33 yards on 2 catches and 2 targets.
