Jimmy Garoppolo fares better Week 2, 49ers beat Lions
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo completed 18-of-26 passes for 206 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 30-27 Week 2 win over the Detroit Lions.
Garoppolo connected on a 4-yard touchdown to Kendrick Bourne in the second quarter and added an 11-yard score to Garrett Celek in the third. He also had what would have been a catastrophic fourth-quarter interception negated by a holding call but it was undoubtedly a better performance than Week 1. The 49ers visit the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 3.
Garoppolo scored 16.6 FanDuel points in Week 2, bringing his average to 14.3 FanDuel points on the year. He's throwing for 233.5 yards a game on a 55.9 completion percentage with 3 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
