Browns' Josh Gordon reportedly close to joining the Patriots
The New England Patriots are close to a deal to acquire Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Last week, reports surfaced that Cleveland was looking to release or trade Gordon, who has had his share of off-field issues.
Gordon has 180 catches for 3,106 and 16 touchdowns since joining the league in 2012. He has averaged 17.3 yards per reception, helping him post 9.0 yards per target despite just a 51.9% catch rate.
