NHL Daily Fantasy Helper: Thursday 12/29/16

Tyler Seguin is in a great spot tonight against the Colorado Avalanche. Which other players should you target in NHL DFS?

A good chunk of you probably already play daily fantasy football, and I'd be willing to bet a significant portion have also tried out daily fantasy basketball and baseball. But hockey? Hockey?

It's time to give it a try over on FanDuel.com because it's a ton of fun. And our analysis and projections can help you win.

To help, take a look at some goalies, high-priced skaters, and lower-priced players to target for today's slate.

Goalies to Target

Braden Holtby (FanDuel Price $9,300): The Washington Capitals are huge -240 favorites tonight against the New Jersey Devils, and that makes Holtby a top goalie option if you can afford to fit him into your lineup. Both Vegas and our projections have Holtby as the most likely goalie on the slate to score a win, which should come as little surprise with his strong 2.06 goals against average and the Devils' averaging the NHL's fourth-fewest goals per game. Washington has a huge edge in Corsi For Percentage in this one, and Holtby isn't likely to face a ton of shots, but the great matchup and low potential shot total does give him some nice shutout upside to go with his solid floor.
