3 NHL FanDuel Values to Target on Friday 12/17/21

Spending lower in any daily fantasy lineup is a way to incorporate some diversity into your roster. In NHL DFS, there is typically more value in this strategy but also a good deal more risk. This is especially true on tonight's slate where there are lots of lower-salaried plays. Plugging in these options will afford you more chances to play some studs, as well.

Let's search for the values on Friday night!

Lars Eller, Center, Washington Capitals

FanDuel Salary: $4,200

With Nicklas Backstrom being eased into the Washington Capitals' lineup, that directly benefits Lars Eller.

The Washington center still does not get the top power-play time but playing 18-plus minutes a night the last four games with some player named Alex Ovechkin is a good thing.

Eller has goals in three straight games and is riding a four-game point streak overall. He is in a good spot against a Winnipeg Jets team that trades scoring chances with anyone and everyone.

The Washington center will not be this low in salary for long at this rate.

Kasperi Kapanen, Wing, Pittsburgh Penguins

FanDuel Salary: $4,000

Kasperi Kapanen is a sneaky hit-or-miss option on Friday night versus the Buffalo Sabres.

Kapanen will be on the wing with Sidney Crosby at even-strength. That usually means several scoring chances almost by default. The Finnish winger has converted twice in his last three games and has 16 real-world points in 28 games.

He has played more than 17 minutes a night in three straight games, and the Penguins winger is one of a few value Pittsburgh players available.

Alexandre Carrier, Defenseman, Nashville Predators

FanDuel Salary: $4,000

The Nashville Predators' defenseman is starting to come up in salary and rightfully so.

This has been a chaotic year for Alexandre Carrier, but he now has two goals and nine assists in 26 games. That includes four assists in his last six starts. Carrier is also capable of blocking several shots a night, as well. It is just a question of the defender putting it all together.

Carrier is now playing over 19 minutes a night. Needless to say, the next step may just come sooner than most realize.
