James van Riemsdyk might be done playing for Toronto this season
Toronto Maple Leafs forward James van Riemsdyk has experienced a setback in his attempt to return from a foot injury.
What It Means:
It's looking like van Riemsdyk will probably end up missing the rest of the 2015-'16 campaign as a result. This season is a lost cause for the 20-28-10 Maple Leafs at this point, so they have no reason to rush him back.
Van Riemsdyk recorded 29 points (14 goals, 15 assists) in 40 games played this season and was superb at driving possession. His Corsi For Percentage of 55.2 and his Relative Corsi For at Even Strength of 7.7 are both easily career highs.
