Duncan Keith totals two points in Blackhawks' Game 2 win

Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith picked up a goal and an assist in Friday's 3-2 win against the St. Louis Blues.

What It Means:

This was Keith's first game back in the Hawks' lineup -- after serving a six-game suspension for a stick-swinging incident -- and what an impact he made in his return. Keith tied the game at one with his goal at the 19:55 mark of the second period. He also picked up the only assist on Artemi Panarin's empty-net goal in the third period. Keith finished the game with a plus-2 rating, four shots on goal and one hit in 30:59 of ice time. The Hawks are obviously much better with their top defenseman in the lineup. The series is heading to Chicago tied 1-1.

Keith had 43 points (9 goals, 34 assists) in 67 games and was solid at driving possession. His Corsi For Percentage was 52.9, and his Relative Corsi at Even Strength was 2.3. Perhaps more importantly, his average time on ice of 25:14 was easily the most on Chicago's roster. We currently give the Blackhawks a 4.6 percent chance of winning it all this season.
