Stars' Kris Russell out of Game 3 due to illness

Dallas Stars defenseman Kris Russell is not expected to play Monday against the Minnesota Wild because of an illness.

What It Means:

Jordie Benn is slated to play in his place.

Russell began this season with the Calgary Flames before being traded to the Stars. He posted 19 points (four goals, 15 assists) in 62 games played while recording an average time on ice of 23:05. Russell is averaging 17:01 through two games during the playoffs -- third most of any defenseman on the Stars -- and has yet to record a point.
