3 FanDuel Premier League Under-the-Radar Plays for Matchweek 3

With Liverpool likely to command heavy ownership, other players in good spots like Everton's Cenk Tosun could go overlooked.

If you have played daily fantasy sports for a while, you know the importance of being contrarian in large-field tournaments. Recognizing which players are going to be owned by the masses and finding others who you think have a similar point projection but will come at much lower ownership can really separate yourself from your opponents.

The same goes for DFS Premier League. Even though the large-field tournaments aren't quite as large as they are for other sports, there is still value in identifying quality under-the-radar plays.

This article will discuss FanDuel's main Sunday slate, which starts at 10:00 a.m. EST and features five matches.

Matchweek 3
Saturday, August 25th
Leicester City at Southampton
West Ham at Arsenal
Cardiff at Huddersfield
Everton at Bournemouth
Brighton at Liverpool

The third main slate of the season is the first to feature two elite sides in excellent spots. Arsenal are 1.5-goal favorites at home against West Ham, and Liverpool are 2-goal favorites at home against Brighton. The stark contrast in how these two elite sides have started their seasons could lead to Liverpool carrying much higher ownership this weekend, despite similar outlooks. While completely fading Liverpool is unwise, leaning heavier on the Gunners is certainly a viable strategy for tournaments.

With that in mind, here are three players to consider -- especially for tournament formats -- this weekend.
