3 FanDuel Premier League Under-the-Radar Plays for Matchweek 26
If you have played daily fantasy sports for a while, you know the importance of being contrarian in large-field tournaments. Recognizing which players are going to be owned by the masses and finding others who you think have a similar point projection but will come at much lower ownership can really separate yourself from your opponents.
The same goes for DFS Premier League. Even though the large-field tournaments aren't quite as large as they are for other sports, there is still value in identifying quality under-the-radar plays.
This article will discuss FanDuel's main Saturday slate, which starts at 10:00 a.m. EST and features six matches.
Saturday, February 9th
West Ham at Crystal Palace
Bournemouth at Liverpool
Arsenal at Huddersfield
Everton at Watford
Cardiff at Southampton
Burnley at Brighton
The 26th main slate of the season features two elite sides in Liverpool and Arsenal. Liverpool is the largest favorites on the slate with an implied win probability of 84.62% at home against Bournemouth. Arsenal is the second-largest favorite on the slate with an implied win probability of 62.96% at home against Huddersfield.
Of the non-elite sides, the largest favorite is Southampton, which has an implied win probability of 58.33% at home against Cardiff. From the remaining three matches, Brighton, Watford, and Crystal Palace are all slight home favorites in pick 'ems.
Despite their recent form, which has seen them produce consecutive draws against Leicester City and West Ham, Liverpool will likely carry the highest levels of ownership this weekend. While concerning for their chances of winning the league, their form is unlikely to put a damper on their production this weekend since Bournemouth has allowed 27 in goals in their 12 road matches this season, including 18 in their last 6.
Considering the alternative elite side is Arsenal, which has been up and down lately, don't shy away from Liverpool this weekend despite their form and expected high ownership.
With that in mind, here are three players to consider this weekend -- especially for tournament formats -- who may fly under the radar.
