2 FanDuel Premier League Under-the-Radar Plays for Matchweek 33

With Leicester City likely to command heavy ownership, other players in good spots -- like Huddersfield's Alex Pritchard -- could go overlooked.

If you have played daily fantasy sports for a while, you know the importance of being contrarian in large-field tournaments. Recognizing which players are going to be owned by the masses and finding others who you think have a similar point projection but will come at much lower ownership can really separate yourself from your opponents.

The same goes for DFS Premier League. Even though the large-field tournaments aren't quite as large as they are for other sports, there is still value in identifying quality under-the-radar plays.

This article will discuss FanDuel's main Saturday slate, which starts at 10:00 a.m. EST and features three matches.

Matchweek 33
Saturday, April 6th
Burnley at Bournemouth
Leicester City at Huddersfield
Crystal Palace at Newcastle

The 33rd main slate of the season is a short one featuring no elite sides. The largest favorite is Leicester City, who have an implied win probability of 59.18% on the road against Huddersfield. Behind them are Bournemouth, who is a slight favorite at home against Burnley, and Newcastle who is slim favorites in a pick em' at home against Crystal Palace.

Ownership this weekend will likely center on Leicester City. In addition to being the largest favorite on the slate, they have two stars, Jamie Vardy ($12,000) and James Maddison ($9,500), who are in top form. Youri Tielemans ($8,500), whose price has increased in recent weeks, should also be popular for his salary, creating a trio of Foxes at the peak of ownership this weekend.

Despite their ownership, all three are worth serious consideration this weekend on a slate that lacks star power and may be lacking in goals. Consider including at least two of these three and then finding lower owned plays elsewhere to create a differentiated lineup for tournaments. Of the three, Tielemans is most deserving of a fade. He has been consistent and productive since arriving in the Premier League, but he has just one game with over 20 FanDuel points. His upside isn't on the same level as Vardy and Maddison, making it harder to justify including him at his likely high ownership.

With that in mind, here are two players to consider this weekend -- especially for tournament formats -- who may fly under the radar.
