FanDuel Premier League Matches to Target in Matchweek 34

When the Premier League returns on Saturday, there will be at least one match for six straight days.

The focus of this primer will be the six-game slate on FanDuel for Saturday, the busiest day in the upcoming stretch.

Manchester City will again be going for the title against a formidable foe in a game with a high total. Only two games on the slate have an over/under above two goals. The other match will likely be lopsided toward Liverpool just a day after they find out their Champions League semifinal opponent.

Let's start at Wembley Stadium.

Tottenham vs. Manchester City

It has been a disappointing week for the likely champions of England as City lost to crosstown rivals Manchester United last weekend and were officially booted from the Champions League by Liverpool on Tuesday. Now their motivation is to claim the Premier League title, but Spurs will have a lot to say about that.

There have been nine goals scored in the last two league meetings between these top teams. City owned the reverse fixture this season with a convincing 4-1 win. Over their respective last three games the teams have combined for 16 goals. Tottenham have won their last six league matches while City's loss last week was their only defeat in the last six.

Tottenham's win streak is the best current mark in the top tier of English football. They have outscored their opponents 13-3 during the streak. Spurs are unbeaten in their last 14 Premier League games and have won the last two against City at home. They have also kept a clean sheet in their last four matches at home.

Spurs should have their full allotment of attacking talent on the field Saturday. Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Son Hueng-min, and Christian Eriksen are all in great form. It was Eriksen's time to shine last week as he scored both goals in the win over Stoke. The attacking quartet may have more room as Fernandinho is suspended with Ilkay Gundogan unlikely to put in the same tenacity defensively. Spurs also have the advantage of not having a midweek game.

Not to be outdone, Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne, and David Silva are in top form as well. Aguero has scored 10 goals against Spurs, third most all time. De Bruyne won man of the match in the midweek clash with Liverpool despite the loss. Silva did not play the full match on Tuesday and should be fully recovered for Saturday.

City have been winning at halftime before going onto secure victory in their last three away matches. City have still scored 15 more goals than any other team this season. Goals are expected in this match given the fire power on both sides.

The players in this match will be on the expensive side, mostly above $8,000, but they have a great chance of paying that off. However, let's see which game can provide value for easy roster construction.

Swansea vs. Everton

Swansea is inching closer to safety, but they are still feeling the pressure from the bottom three. They have the form of the other teams to thank as they are without a win in their last three matches. Returning to the Liberty Stadium will be welcome as they have won their last four league matches at home.

Jordan and Andre Ayew should be at the front of the line for Swansea. They are both among the betting favorites to score in this fixture. Jordan's return does push Tammy Abraham back to the bench, although he will still be a goal-scoring threat if he makes a substitute appearance. Swansea will likely employ an attacking formation, much like they did last week.

Swansea could be susceptible to the counter attack with the back three, especially with Kyle Bartley likely to start on defense. Bartley entered the game last week when Mike van der Hoorn went off with a shoulder injury. Given the expectation that this match could be clumsy, Bartley offers a bargain value on the back line at $4,500.

Theo Walcott will hope to take advantage of the space on the counter attack. He is Everton's highest-rated player and best goal threat alongside Cenk Tosun. Wayne Rooney still leads the team in goals but may start on the bench after his spat with manager Sam Allardyce last week.

Both teams have poor goal differentials. They also have similar possession numbers and overall defensive ratings -- both of which are subpar. Both teams also allow 14.5 shots per game, so all stats point to a back-and-forth game with no team taking control and lots of scoring chances. Passing numbers might not be padded, but defensive actions points may accumulate simply from sloppy play.
