Premier League Betting Guide for Matchweek 18

Fulham have been the worst team in the EPL so far this season, but is there reason to believe their luck could turn this weekend?

This weekend's match will kick off a stretch of 3 games in 8 days, so there will be no shortage of EPL action as we close out 2018.

Using Soccer odd as the source for lines, let's take a look at some bets you should zero in on this week.

Wolves vs Liverpool

Liverpool -1 (no push) +145

Manager Jurgen Klopp's side has been dominant the entire season, but they have been particularly dominant against teams outside of the top six. Liverpool has played 12 games against teams outside the top six, and they have won eight of those games by a margin of two goals or more.

Wolves have been a quality side this season, sitting seventh place in the table, but Liverpool are still a clear class above. Liverpool currently have 45 points and a +30 goal differential compared to 25 points and an even goal differential from Wolves. Wolverhampton will likely be in for an uphill battle against the Premier League leaders this weekend.

Newcastle vs Fulham

Newcastle to win +100

Fulham have been, without question, the worst team in the EPL by every metric so far this season. They rank last in the league in points (9) and goal differential (-26), as well as ranking last in the league in WhoScored.com's team rankings. Their 42 goals conceded is the most in the league by a 9-goal margin, and their 16 goals scored rank in the bottom five in the league.

Newcastle are far from a juggernaut, at 4-4-9, but they do have eight more points than Fulham and have an 18-goal edge in terms of goal difference. Newcastle's home field advantage will also play a factor, as Fulham are an abysmal 0-1-8 on the road so far this season.

Everton vs Tottenham

Tottenham to win +130

Spurs are away from home in this match, but they do own the best away record in the EPL, at 8-0-2. Tottenham are 15 points ahead of Everton in the table, and they own a 13-goal edge in goal differential, so there is no question that they are the superior side in this matchup.

Everton have struggled mightily against the top six this season, with an 0-1-4 and a -5 goal differential, so they have yet to have any semblance of success against top competition. Spurs have proven themselves to be a legitimate top-four contender, and they are even still flirting with the idea of competing in the title race. Mauricio Pochettino's side should be able to take care of business against the Toffees.
