League of Legends Daily Fantasy Helper: LCS, Monday 3/30/20

With the sports world on pause right now, we turn to esports as a place for some fantasy action, and that leads us to the North American League Championship Series -- better known as the LCS.

They too were on a break but are back and set to continue with their regular season. Now, you might be asking, what is League of Legends? What is League of Legends DFS? If you need more info, look to numberFire's introduction piece to get a better understanding. That will give you an overview of the game itself, the position you need to pick in DFS, and some tips about stacking. At the end of the day, this is DFS, and you can learn while the other sports are on hold.

LCS Overview

This is a special two-game slate for the LCS, as we have two different tiebreakers in the standings. The regular season ended yesterday, but the seedings are not yet finalized between a few of the teams. The second overall seed is still up for grabs between Evil Geniuses, 100 Thieves, and FlyQuest, while the sixth and final playoff spot is up for grabs between Golden Guardians, Dignitas, and Immortals. This is a two-round format, with Dignitas and Immortals playing first for the sixth seed. Golden Guardians have a bye-round and not on the slate. The same is true for the second seed, with Evil Geniuses receiving a bye and not on this slate.

Star

PowerOfEvil, FlyQuest ($8,500)

PowerOfEvil is the best mid laner on this slate. PowerOfEvil is the cheapest mid laner on this slate. Both of those are factual, and you want to look to him for the Star spot today. Not only is POE the best mid laner on the slate, but he has the most kills among mid laners in the entire LCS. He has the fourth-highest Kill/Death/Assist Ratio (KDA), the fourth-highest Kill Participation (KP%), and the highest Creep Score (CS) per minute, according to OraclesElixir.com. Over his last 10 games, he has five kills or more five times while dying twice or fewer seven times. He has all of the kill potential you could possibly want while minimizing the negative points.

Top

Huni, Dignitas ($8,100)

Huni has been remarkably inconsistent in the Spring Split and makes for a riskier play. In his last 10 games, he has scored everywhere from 3.94 FanDuel points all the way up to 37.6 points. That is an insane range of outcomes and can be far too volatile for some DFS players, but you should embrace that when it comes to tournaments. Huni is up against sOAZ in the top lane, who comes in with the second-worst CS per minute and the second-fewest kills among top laners.

Jungle

Meteos, 100 Thieves ($8,800)

The veteran jungler has put up three massive games in a row, and we want to bank on this consistency today. Meteos comes in with 11, 11, and 12 assists in his last three games, with a total of eight deaths over these three games. He is the most expensive jungler on the slate and has been showing why in these recent games. 100 Thieves should be popular on this two-game slate, but the chalk option could be the best option in the jungle.

Mid

Froggen, Dignitas ($8,900)

Both Froggen and PowerOfEvil are fantastic options for mid today and playing them both gives you massive upside. POE was mentioned above, and while he is amazing, Froggen shouldn't be overlooked in the mid lane. Froggen has the highest KP% among mid laners for the Spring Split, the lowest percent of team's deaths, and the fifth-highest KDA. He has turned things up to a new level recently, with 26 FanDuel points or more in three of his last four games and a total of two deaths in those three games. Froggen and PowerOfEvil are two of my favorite high-priced players today.

ADC

Cody Sun, 100 Thieves ($10,000)

ADC's are like starting running backs for an NFL team. They are going to score points, and they are going to score even more when their team wins. The recent four games for Cody Sun and 100 Thieves show that very clearly. He had 11.72 points in a loss, then 32 points or more in three straight wins. He has a super-high floor if they are winning and could be the best overall option on the slate -- regardless of position.

Support

IgNar, FlyQuest ($7,500)

IgNar is the most expensive option at support today and makes a great addition to a FlyQuest stack today. We know that support players don't score a ton of points, so you need to pair them with teammates to maximize their upside. Among the four support players on this two-game slate, IgNar comes in with the highest fantasy points per game, the best KDA, and the most assists. I love FlyQuest as a stack today, and IgNar should be apart of that.

Team

Dignitas ($7,400)

Dignitas are the cheapest team on the slate today, even though it's only by a few hundred dollars. There are only four teams to choose from today, and Dignitas bring the most savings to your lineup. Among the four teams on this slate, Dignitas has the highest first dragon rate and the second-highest first blood rate but the second-lowest first tower rate. A bit of good and a bit of bad, so look to correlate them if you are going with a Dignitas stack today.
