HORSE RACING

Keeneland Horse Racing Picks for Friday 7/10/20

With most of the sports world on pause, it's a great time to dive into horse racing, and FanDuel Racing gives you the chance to do just that.

Starting at 1:05 p.m. EST, we have nine races at Keeneland. Using our projections as a guide, here are some of the best bets.

As always, keep an eye out for scratches and changes.

(I will be referencing Equibase's speed figure, which tells you how fast a horse has been running in each of its races -- adjusted for track, distances, and conditions.)

Title Ready, Race 5 (3:18 PM)

FD Racing Odds: 6/1

Race 5 features a majority of competitors regularly hitting triple-digit speed figures, but none have done it as consistently as Title Ready, who's achieved that in seven of the last eight appearances. Entering multiple stakes races over that stretch, Title Ready finished top-three six times, and he also topped out at a career-high 114 speed figure last March.

The only downside is he hasn't raced in 12 months, which does add some uncertainty. Still, recent workouts have been promising, and he's in good hands with accomplished jockey Corey J. Lanerie.

Current odds favorite Bourbon Resolution (3/1) looks the part, too, coming off a runner-up performance last month with a 103 figure. Scars Are Cool won two races ago and is coming off back-to-back triple-digit speed figures.

Four Graces, Race 7 (4:24 PM)

FD Racing Odds: 3/1

The first of two stakes races, Race 7 is a $100K, Grade 3 contest featuring three-year-old fillies. With odds favorite Speech getting scratched, this race is wide open for the taking.

Four Graces (3/1) is the favorite in numberFire's algorithm, winning her last two races and clocking in with figures in the 90s. Her last victory was in a Grade 3 stakes race, and overall, she's won three of four career appearances, all of which have come in 2020.

Turtle Trax (12/1) could be flying under the radar a bit after posting a 98 figure as a runner-up in May.

Raging Bull (Fr), Race 8 (4:57 PM)

FD Racing Odds: 9/5

Today's other stakes race check in with a $300K purse (Grade 1) for competitors who are ages four and up.

Odds favorite Raging Bull is a strong choice following a Grade 1 stakes race victory his last time out in May. His figures have been incredibly impressive, posting a 114 mark in that outing and ranging from 112-120 over his last six. Jockey Joel Rosario is putting up strong numbers, too, with a 19% win rate and 55% top-three rate.

Next Shares (8/1), English Bee (10/1), and Hembree (12/1) have all been recording noteworthy figures of their own despite the longer odds. There could be some betting value in selecting one if their odds don't change dramatically before race time.
