Belmont Park Horse Racing Picks for Saturday 6/11/22

There are 13 races at Belmont Saturday with 8 Grade 1s. Which horses should you bet on at FanDuel Racing?

Starting at 11:20 p.m. EST, we have 13 races at Belmont Park. Using numberFire’s projections as a guide, here are some of the best bets to make at FanDuel Racing.

As always, check the program for scratches and changes, and monitor the weather and track conditions.

(I will reference Equibase's Speed Figure in selected races, which tells you how fast a horse has been running in each of its races -- adjusted for track, distances, and conditions).

Race 9 is the $400K Woody Stephens for 3-year-olds at 7 furlongs. The numberFire data projects the heavy favorite Jack Christopher (1/2) to win. He’s won all three of his races including one at Belmont last fall, and beat Pappacap (10/1) by 4-lengths last month.

Wit (7/2) is projected to hit the board, which he’s done in all five starts including a pair of Grade 1 races, and Irad Ortiz, Jr. rides looking to defeat his brother Jose on the favorite. Morello (9/2) won his first three starts, but never fired as the favorite in April’s Wood Memorial.

Latruska and Malathaat, Race 7

FanDuel Racing Odds: 6/5 and 5/2

Race 7 is the $500K Ogden Phipps for older fillies and mares at 1 1/16 miles. Just 5 runners, and the numberFire data projects Latruska (6/5) with jockey Jose Ortiz to win over Bonny South (12/1) and Malathaat (5/2).

Latruska is 7-for-8 winning at this distance, while Malathaat has won 7-of-9 career starts and just missed in her two defeats.

Bonny South Won the Doubledogdare at Keeneland last year before running second to Letruska in this. Rounded out her season with a trio of creditable placed efforts. Chased home Malathaat in the latest renewal of the Doubledogdare on her return.

Casa Creed and Arrest Me Red, Race 8

FanDuel Racing Odds: 9/2 and 5/2

Race 8 is the $400K Jaipur Stakes at 6 furlongs on the turf. The numberFire data picks Arrest Me Red (5/2) to win ahead of Gear Jockey (6/1) and Casa Creed (9/2).

Arrest Me Red ran the highest, last race speed figure, according to Guaranteed Tip Sheet. He beat several of today’s rivals in that Turf Sprint at Churchill Downs, and has won 4-of-5 since joining the bard of trainer Wesley Ward.

Casa Creed returns from Dubai having faced a tough group while missing the board. But Casa won the Turf Sprint Cup in Saudi Arabia the race prior.
