Belmont Park Horse Racing Picks for Sunday 6/12/22

There are 9 races at Belmont Sunday. Which horses should you bet on at FanDuel Racing?

Starting at 1:020 p.m. EST, we have 9 races at Belmont Park. Using numberFire’s projections as a guide, here are some of the best bets to make at FanDuel Racing.

As always, check the program for scratches and changes, and monitor the weather and track conditions with light rain in the forecast.

(I will reference Equibase's Speed Figure in selected races, which tells you how fast a horse has been running in each of its races -- adjusted for track, distances, and conditions).

Stand Up Comic and Hot Peppers, Race 3

FanDuel Racing Odds: 8/1 and 6/5

Race 3 is the minor $150K Jersey Girls Stakes for 3-year-old fillies sprinting 7 furlongs. Just five runners, and the numberFire data projects the two favorites to finish first and second. Hot Peppers (6/5) to win ahead of Gimmick (7/5), who has run some better fractions in her last race and gets Belmont Stakes winning jockey Irad Ortiz, Jr. to ride.

Hot Peppers is very quick and has been freshened with leading jockey Luis Saez riding.

Top Race Reports adds that Stand Up Comic (8/1) is a perfect 3 for 3 on the main track, and she’s been working super at Parx.

Brattle House and Equal Pay, Race 7

FanDuel Racing Odds: 5/2 and 2/1

Race 7 is an Allowance race at 1 mile for fillies and mares. The numberFire projected order of finish is Brattle House (5/2) to win ahead of Wasp (7/2) and Equal Pay (2/1).

Brattle House is a good looking daughter of Malibu Moon. She’s a hard trying filly who is working super and will sit just off the flank of Equal Pay, who is off a pair of wins on ‘off’ tracks with some strong 6 furlong times to set her up for today’s mile.

Bella Principessa and Tis A Pity, Race 8

FanDuel Racing Odds: 6/1 and 4/1

Race 8 has a larger Allowance field of fillies and mares at 7 furlongs schedule for the turf. The numberFire data picks Bella Principessa (6/1) to win ahead of Cadeau De Paix (10/1) and U Should B Dancing (6/1) with Jose Ortiz riding.

Bella Principessa has been in the superfecta in all five starts this year with a win, and her last two were at Belmont.

Check out Tis a Pity (4/1) with top jockey’s Flavien Prat as well. Top Race Reports notes she finished runner-up in her 2022 debut last month as the favorite with a strong closing run.
