Verdict

A small but select field gets things underway at Ascot. ALMIGHTY CLASS (3) comes back to the 5f journey after being outclassed in The Quokka a fortnight ago. Back to this grade appears to suit and the short course shouldn't be an issue. Holly Watson takes the ride now and he can get back on track with a win today. LEXINGTON CITY (5) couldn't hold off a progressive type in easier company last start when collared late after leading throughout. Back to this trip now and he's knocking on the door of another victory. Draws well and should be making his presence felt. THOMAS MAGNUM (4) was 2.4L off Lexington City last start but did beat him two back over this course and distance. Can sit off them and run over the top to score. PREMIUM CHOICE (1) can bounce back after finishing 2.9L off Thomas Magnum at his latest outing.
