HEZA GUNSLINGER (7) looks close to a win following back-to-back placings. He was beaten only 1.8m two back at Ballaart before a last-start third at Geelong. Draws wider but is going well. IN REDWHITEANDBLUE (2) broke and finished fifth last start at Melton to follow a second at this venue. Should enjoy an economical run from this draw. Live chance with manners. FAITH FULL (12) starts from the back row but cannot be ruled out off a last-start second at Ballarat.

A horse entered for main track only (MTO) is one hoping the weather forecast or track conditions will move the race off the turf course and onto the main track. They are scratched the morning of the race if the conditions stay dry.

Daily Double

A wager on two consecutive races on the card where bettors have to pick both winners.

Claiming Race

A race in which horses are entered for a certain price, or claiming tag, which is also their sales price. An owner can claim any horse entered for the tag before the race begins, and owns them as soon as the gates open.
