Daily Fantasy Baseball: Positive Batted-Ball Regression Candidates for Week 15
Anthony Rizzo, 1B, Chicago Cubs
A grim 2018 season just keeps getting grimmer for Anthony Rizzo, whose .244/.341/.407 slash line comes on the back of a 4-for-22 skid in July and a slim .102 isolated slugging (ISO) over his last 30 games.
Yet the underlying metrics preach patience with the Chicago Cubs' slugger. Rizzo has a depressed .244 batting average on balls in play (BABIP) over the last month despite a 25.0% liner rate and just 18.2% soft contact. With the Cubs lining up against very weak pitching in San Francisco and San Diego this week, Rizzo's sub-$4,000 FanDuel salary could end up looking like a real bargain.
