FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Friday 9/7/18

Another night, another opportunity for Jose Ramirez to put up numbers in a stellar spot against Marco Estrada. Who else is worth rostering on Friday's slate?

Following an odd four-game Thursday slate, we ramp things back up to 14 games for Friday's main offering. There's no shortage of pitching in this one, but Blake Snell emerges as the best of the bunch tonight. Meanwhile, on the offensive side, with Clayton Kershaw and Jon Gray duking it out at Coors Field, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Colorado Rockies aren't necessarily must-plays, while the Minnesota Twins, Chicago Cubs, Oakland Athletics, and Cleveland Indians all enjoy plus matchups.

Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.

On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.

Pitchers to Target

High-Priced Pitcher

Blake Snell ($10,700 on FanDuel): We may have big names like Aaron Nola, Carlos Carrasco, Patrick Corbin, and Gerrit Cole taking the mound tonight, but Blake Snell has been a force to be reckoned with himself in a breakout season. While he hasn't been quite as good as his 2.02 ERA would suggest, a 3.46 SIERA, 29.9% strikeout rate, and 9.1% walk rate is nothing to scoff at. Furthermore, since coming off the DL in August, he's upped the ante with a ridiculous 1.96 FIP, 36.4% strikeout rate, and 5.9% walk rate over six starts. Best of all, the hapless Baltimore Orioles are tied for last in wRC+ against lefties (77), and that number drops to an even more pitiful 66 with their current active roster, no doubt due to Manny Machado no longer being around. The matchup doesn't get much better than this, and Baltimore holds the worst implied total on the board (2.86).
