3 MLB FanDuel Studs to Target on Tuesday 6/1/21

Adolis Garcia has been insane this season, and he is at Coors tonight. Who else should you roster?

Just like in other sports, the focal point of your daily fantasy baseball lineups will be your high-salary studs. These guys take up by far the biggest chunk of your cap space, but they also offer the highest ceiling. And in the case of pitchers, the high-salary options typically come with the highest floors, too.

For hitters, we're looking for guys with big numbers, strong matchups, and with players around them that are likely to produce well, too, increasing our chances for runs and RBI. For pitchers, we want big strikeout numbers, while the ability to go deep in a game and pick up a win is also valuable.

With your high-salary picks playing such a big role in your lineup, you need to be right on these guys, so let's take a look at a few top-end options you can count on to anchor your lineup today.

Tyler Glasnow, SP, Tampa Bay Rays ($10,700)

I truly did not see a world where the New York Yankees' offense would be this bad. Over the last two weeks, they rank seventh-worst in team wOBA with a whopping 27.8% strikeout rate.

That makes the dynamic Tyler Glasnow even more of an intriguing play tonight. The right-hander has been on an absolute tear this season, fanning 98 in 70 innings pitched. The punchouts raise both his floor and his ceiling.

Our projections have Glasnow generating 36.6 FanDuel points, tops on the slate by 3.0 points.

Nelson Cruz, OF, Minnesota Twins ($3,500)

With Bruce Zimmermann taking the hill, Nelson Cruz is locked and loaded as a monster play on Tuesday.

Zimmerman is a poor pitcher -- and yet, he keeps taking turns for the Baltimore Orioles. Zimmerman has a strikeout rate of 18.6% and a SIERA of 4.44. Righties have a .370 wOBA versus him this season.

Cruz has long mashed lefties. In a small sample, he put up a laughable .586 wOBA in the split a year ago and owns a .382 wOBA against left-handers this season.

Cruz and friends are in a solid spot for a crooked number, and their 4.94 implied total reflects as much. The Twins will surely be one of the slate's go-to stacks.

Adolis Garcia, OF, Texas Rangers ($4,300)

I know that German Marquez of the Colorado Rockies has been very good as of late -- ridiculously good, in fact. Over his last two starts (13 innings), Marquez owns a sub-1.00 ERA and WHIP. However, Marquez is in Denver tonight, and that results in the Texas Rangers getting a 4.92 implied total

If we are starting to looking to stack Texas, the conversation needs to prominently discuss Adolis Garcia.

Garcia has been downright absurd this season -- racking up 16 home runs, six stolen bases, and 41 RBI. In the thin air of Coors, Garcia could have a huge day.

I'll bet that Marquez reverts back to his season-long form (4.47 ERA, 1.50 WHIP) and has a rough outing in this one.
