Tim Beckham on Baltimore's bench in Game 2 Wednesday

Baltimore Orioles infielder Tim Beckham is out of the starting lineup in Game 2 on Wednesday versus the Boston Red Sox.

What It Means:

Beckham went 1-for-3 with a walk drawn and a run scored while playing designated hitter for the Orioles in the first half of the doubleheader. Adam Jones will handle DH duties for Baltimore in Game 2. As a result, Joey Rickard will replace Jones in left field, opening up a start in right for John Andreoli. Andreoli will bat seventh versus Red Sox southpaw Chris Sale.

Beckham is averaging 8.0 FanDuel points per game this season, while slashing .226/.283/.369 with 12 home runs, 34 RBI, 42 runs scored, and 1 steal across 390 plate appearances.
