Chase Anderson in Brewers' Opening Day bullpen
Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Chase Anderson will start the season in the bullpen, manager Craig Counsell announced Thursday.
Anderson has made 133 starts over 134 career appearances, so this will be an adjustment for the 31-year-old right-hander. The Brewers will open the year with a starting five of Jhoulys Chacin, Brandon Woodruff, Corbin Burnes, Freddy Peralta, and Zach Davies.
Prior to this announcement, numberFire's models expected Anderson to twirl a 4.14 ERA and 1.22 WHIP with 138 punchouts over 163 innings.
