Yankees' Tyler Wade making season debut versus Tigers
New York Yankees utility player Tyler Wade is starting on Tuesday versus the Detroit Tigers.
Wade was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Monday. The 24-year-old is handling second base and batting eighth versus Tigers right-hander Jordan Zimmerman in his season debut. Gleyber Torres is shifting to shortstop and Troy Tulowitzki is taking a breather.
Wade slashed just .167/.214/.273 with 1 home run and 5 RBI in 36 appearances for the Yankees last season.
