Troy Tulowitzki (calf) on Yankees' injured list
The New York Yankees placed shortstop Troy Tulowitzki on the 10-day injured list with a left calf strain.
What It Means:
Tulowitzki suffered the injury in a 2-1 loss to the Detroit Tigers on Wednesday. Gleyber Torres will take over as the Yankees' primary shortstop while Tyler Wade is expected to help out at second base. DJ LeMahieu is already covering things at the hot corner in place of Miguel Andujar (shoulder). The Yankees called up Thairo Estrada in a corresponding roster move, so he could also pitch in.
Tulo is 2-for-10 with a double and a home run through four games.
