Nationals option Carter Kieboom to Triple-A
The Washington Nationals optioned infielder Carter Kieboom to Triple-A Fresno.
What It Means:
Wilmer Difo is replacing Kieboom at shortstop on Tuesday versus the Milwaukee Brewers. Anthony Rendon (elbow) is back on the hot corner.
Kieboom slashed just .128/.209/.282 over his first 43 major league plate appearances after a strong start.
