Brewers' Gio Gonzalez (dead arm) placed on injured list
Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Gio Gonzalez has been placed on the injured list due to a case of dead arm.
What It Means:
Gonzalez, who started the season in the New York Yankees' farm system, has been terrific for Milwaukee in a short sample size. If he can be on the injured list for the minimum 10 days, he might only miss a start or two. For now, Manny Pina has been called up in the corresponding move.
In 31.0 innings pitched across 33 games played, Gonzalez has a 3.19 ERA with a 1.19 WHIP.
