Chris Paddack sent down to minors by San Diego
San Diego Padres pitcher Chris Paddack was sent down to the minors on Wednesday.
The team is trying to limit the rookie's innings pitched this season and decided to option Paddack down to open up a roster spot. The move is not expected to be for long, but he is likely to miss a start or two. Robert Stock has been called up from Triple-A in a corresponding move.
Paddack has posted a 3.15 ERA and 0.93 WHIP while striking out 72 and walking 13 over 65 2/3 innings pitched this season.
