Pablo Lopez going on Marlins' injured list with possible shoulder injury
Miami Marlins starting pitcher Pablo Lopez is heading to the injured list with a possible shoulder injury.
What It Means:
The extent of the injury is unknown, but the Marlins should provide an update ahead of Wednesday night's game against the St. Louis Cardinals. Zac Gallen will be called up to start in Lopez's place on Thursday in St. Louis.
Lopez is 5-5 through 14 starts. He owns a 4.23 ERA and 1.12 WHIP with 73 strikeouts and 18 walks over 76 2/3 innings.
