Noah Syndergaard officially active, starting Sunday for Mets
The New York Mets activated starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard from the 10-day injured list.
Syndergaard is starting in Sunday night's series finale against the Atlanta Braves after missing a couple of weeks with a right hamstring injury. The 26-year-old right-hander is 5-4 in 15 starts this season, with a 4.55 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, 93 strikeouts, and 24 walks over 95 innings. Carlos Gomez has been designated for assignment in a corresponding roster move.
