Angels' Tommy La Stella suffers right shin contusion
Los Angeles Angels infielder Tommy La Stella has been diagnosed with a right shin contusion.
La Stella needed help getting off the field Tuesday after fouling a ball hard into his right leg during an at-bat in the top of the sixth inning. He will get a CT scan Wednesday and be re-evaluated to better understand the extent of the injury. The 30-year-old was just named an All-Star for the first time in his career.
La Stella is slashing .300/.353/.495 with 16 home runs, 7 doubles, 44 RBI, and 49 runs scored through 312 plate appearances (78 games).
