Kansas City Royals pitcher Mike Montgomery will throw between 40-45 pitches in his start on Friday.
What It Means:
Montgomery is making his first Royals appearances after being traded from the Chicago Cubs earlier in the week. The pitcher was serving in a relief role for the Cubs and is not stretched out yet. Brian Flynn or Jorge Lopez is expected to piggyback off Montgomery Friday night.
