Rays option Brendan McKay to Triple-A on Saturday
Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Brendan McKay was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Saturday.
What It Means:
McKay will spend some time in the minors after struggling in Friday's start against the White Sox. Expect Hunter Wood to pitch some innings out of the bullpen or as an opener.
In 19.1 innings pitched this season, McKay produced a 3.72 ERA and 18 strikeouts.
