Indians acquire Christian Arroyo from Tampa Bay
The Cleveland Indians have acquired infielder Christian Arroyo from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for outfielder Ruben Cardenas.
What It Means:
Arroyo is expected to return in August after experiencing right forearm tendinitis in mid-June. There should be a role for the 24-year old against left-handers once Arroyo is activated off the 60-day Injured List.
In 50 at-bats this season, Arroyo is hitting .220 with two home runs and seven RBI.
