Rays get Jesus Aguilar from Brewers, per report

The Tampa Bay Rays have acquired first baseman Jesus Aguilar from the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for pitcher Jacob Faria, ESPN's Jeff Passan reports.

What It Means:

Aguilar hit 35 home runs with an .890 OPS last year, but has struggled this year but has 8 with a .644 OPS this year.

There may be some bad luck involved here, as while Aguilar has a subpar .304 wOBA, he also has a .342 xWOBA. His average exit velocity (90.1 mph) and hard-hit rate are both above-average.
