Mike Leake sent to Diamondbacks in deal with Mariners
The Arizona Diamondbacks acquired starting pitcher Mike Leake and cash considerations from the Seattle Mariners for infield prospect Jose Caballero.
Leake waived his no-trade clause to allow the deal. He went 9-8 in 22 starts for the Diamondbacks this season. The 31-year-old right-hander is under contract through at least 2020, with a team option in 2021.
Leake owns a 4.34 ERA and 1.26 WHIP with 100 strikeouts and 19 walks in 137 innings this season.
