Mike Foltynewicz returning to Braves' rotation Tuesday
Atlanta Braves pitcher Mike Foltynewicz will be recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett and start on Tuesday versus the Minnesota Twins.
What It Means:
Foltynewicz is effectively taking the place of Kevin Gausman, who was claimed off waivers by the Cincinnati Reds on Monday afternoon. He was optioned to Gwinnett on June 23. Max Fried's next start has been pushed to Wednesday.
Folty owns a 6.37 ERA and 1.42 WHIP with 50 strikeouts and 20 walks over 59 1/3 innings at the big league level this season. He's 2-5 in 11 starts.
