Blake Snell (elbow) throws again Wednesday
Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Blake Snell (elbow) threw again on Wednesday.
Snell threw for the first time on Monday before resting on Tuesday, so this was his second day playing catch. The 26-year-old left-hander is targeting an early September return. He underwent an elbow operation on July 29 and hasn't made a start since July 21.
Snell owns a 4.28 ERA and 1.25 WHIP with 136 strikeouts and 35 walks in 101 innings (20 starts) this season.
