Indians' Corey Kluber (abdomen) expected to be shut down 2 weeks

Cleveland Indians starting pitcher Corey Kluber (arm, abdomen) is expected to be shut down for 2 weeks.

What It Means:

The Indians are expected to make an official announcement on Tuesday. Kluber exited his last rehab start with Triple-A Columbus on Sunday due to a left abdominal injury and now it's not clear if he will return this season. The 33-year-old right-hander has been sidelined since the beginning of May with a fractured ulna bone in his right arm.

Kluber is 2-3 in seven starts this season. He owns a 5.80 ERA and 1.65 WHIP with 38 strikeouts and 15 walks across 35 2/3 innings.
