Cubs' Brandon Morrow suffers setback, won't pitch in 2019
Chicago Cubs relief pitcher Brandon Morrow (elbow) suffered a setback during his rehab assignment and will miss the rest of the 2019 season.
The Cubs were hoping to get Morrow back in September to help strengthen their bullpen, but the veteran pitcher will end up without an appearance in 2019. He has a $12M option for 2020, but the Cubs can buy Morrow out for $3M and are likely to do so.
Morrow posted a 1.47 ERA and 1.08 WHIP with 22 saves in 33 games last season for Chicago.
